  • Dr. Gary Donnelly

    Gary completed a science degree in 2006 before going on to study medicine in the graduate entry medical school in the University of Limerick in 2008. He worked in our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda before being accepted to the RCSI GP training scheme in 2013.

    As part of his training he has worked in James’s Hospital , Temple St. Children’s Hospital, Tallaght hospital , and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Gary spent several years working in addiction services, the Emergency Department in Connolly Hospital, and in practices in Wicklow, Meath and Dublin before joining Dublin City GP.

    Alongside his surgery hours Gary works with the East Doc medical service providing medical clinics for asylum seekers. Gary enjoys all aspects of general practice.

  • Dr. Rory Lavelle

    Dr. Lavelle graduated in 2012 from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Medicine He was granted a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2015. During 2 years of work in Queensland, Australia, he gained experience in critical care, rural medicine, and emergency medicine, and gained valuable insight into caring for a remote, vulnerable and majority indigenous population.

    He completed his training as a GP in Donegal in 2023. He has worked as a locum GP in various sites in Dublin before settling in Dublin City GP in 2024. He has an interest in musculoskeletal medicine, holding a diploma accredited by the ICGP.

  • Dr. Patrick Earls

    Patrick completed a graduate medical degree from St George’s University of London in 2015. He then went on to work in the NHS for 4 years, completing his internship at Kings College Hospital, and then working in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine.

    In 2019 he returned to Ireland to begin GP training on the North Dublin training scheme, where he developed an interest in healthcare provision for disadvantaged communities. He finished GP training in 2023 after completing rotations in medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and sexual health.

    His special interests are dermatology, men and women's health and lifestyle determinants of health. He has volunteered as a doctor for environmental NGOs and holds a BA degree from Trinity College.

  • Dr. Sinead Beirne

    Dr. Beirne graduated from UCD in 2005 with an honours degree in Medicine. She completed the North East GP Training scheme in 2010 having rotated through obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, medicine and psychiatry. She has obtained additional diplomas in obstetrics and gynaecology, child health and musculoskeletal medicine.

    She also works as a GP lead in the Headache clinic in St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

    She has worked extensively in women’s and sexual health with the Irish Family Planning Association as well as health screening and preventative health medicine. She was chief researcher in the ICGP's first systematic review on chronic disease management.

    She is a medical expert in both television and radio broadcasting.

  • Dr. Michael O’Tighearnaigh

    Dr. O’Tighearnaigh graduated from Trinity College Dublin 1989 with a degree in Medicine. He then trained extensively in Ireland and the UK achieving postgraduate qualifications in multiple disciplines.

    Dr. O’Tighearnaigh is the longest serving member of the Dublin City GP medical team. He has vast expertise in urgent care, musculoskeletal and sports medicine, men’s health, children’s health and also weight management and obesity.
